❈ Chess Set ❈
For my chess set, I decided to replicate traditional Mexican ceramic vessels or "ollas'. I decided to use size and lids/handles to create a hierarchy system. Only the king and queen have lids so they stand out from the rest. The rest then get smaller based on the chess hierarchy, with the pawn being the smallest! Most of the pieces are revolved & handles added. The knight was a bit more difficult, I turned points on and upped the amount, then I warped it until I had the desired spout shape. The materials for the board and the pieces are all from the ceramic material library to make the set look unified. Anddd thats all for this semester! Process / Inspiration : Renders/Finals:
